TIPS
Plumbing Contractors
A plumber is like a mechanic -- hire the wrong one and you’ll end up throwing money down the drain. A good tradesperson is sometimes hard to find, but, if you do a little research and shop around, you can find a plumbing contractor who can get the job done for a reasonable fee. It pays to be selective when choosing a plumber and we’ve got some tips to help you find a professional you can count on.
- Ask if they are state licensed and certified.
- Call to confirm the license is current and there are no active complaints registered against it.
- Make sure the plumber carries both workers’ compensation and liability insurance.
- Check the plumber’s Better Business Bureau records online to verify no complaints have been filed against the candidate.
- Ask for references.
- Ask family, friends and co-workers for recommendations or if they are familiar with the company you are considering.
